Ison Wins 2020 Gyeongsangbuk-do Startup Innovation Awards

Ison (CEO Kim Eung-Ug) won the "2020 Gyeongsangbuk-do Startup Innovation Awards" for its technological innovation and contribution to the development of the local economy.

The winners of the Gyeongsangbuk-do Startup Innovation Awards receive various benefits such as preferential support for corporate development (300 million won) preferential support for R&D (R&D) participation in overseas fairs. It is also recommended as an excellent company for venture funds (about KRW 80 billion) created and operated by Gyeongsangbuk-do.

Lee Chul-woo, governor of Gyeongsangbuk-do Province, said, "We appreciate local venture startups that have struggled to develop the local economy amid difficulties due to 'Corona 19.' These companies have the capability to play a key role in revitalizing the local economy." He added, "We will spare administrative and financial support to create Gyeongbuk, which is good for business activities in the future."

Ison, which was awarded this time, is a company specializing in AI (Artificial Intelligence) video surveillance platforms. The company once introduced a "Unmanned Border Self-driving Railbot Surveillance System" that combines AI at the "Korea Defense Industry Exhibition." It also displayed an eco-friendly solar structure that applies "Steelbo Modular Construction," a first-class carbon certification system jointly developed with POSCO.

According to Ison, 'Autonomous Railbot Monitoring System' is a product that can be applied to all industries such as defense, roads, railways, tunnels, and undersea tunnels by combining AI. Ison explained that it is an innovative product that can be applied to 'Digital New Deal'.

On the other hand, Ison won the Defense Minister's Award in 2019 for developing the elevating pole called "Artpole"
